NETT Rd 3 & 4 Race Report

Saturday the 18th of May:

In the 50cc Modified category, Alfie Chew (19) claimed a total of 72 points, thanks to a second and two first-place finishes. Macy Edgar (7), competing in the same class, also gained 69 points from a first and two seconds in the races. In the 100cc Standard class, William Pinder (83) achieved first place with 75 points, consistently winning all three races, while Billy Barnes (12) came in second with 66 points.

In the 100cc Geared Air-Cooled category, Corey Murray (33) emerged victorious with a perfect score of 75 points, securing 25 points in each race. Joel O'Neill (19) followed closely in second place with 66 points, earning 22 points in each race. Roan Dean (45) finished third with 60 points, Harry Barker (23) took fourth place with 54 points, and Oliver Wilsher (136) ended in fifth place with 48 points.

In the 150 Open class, Seth Balaam (888) also achieved a flawless 75 points, winning all races. Malachy McKenna (513) placed second with 66 points, and Ella Robe (14) came in third with 60 points. Shay McKenna (135) and Louie Garrett (123) took fourth and fifth places with 52 and 49 points, respectively. Siontilly Garrett finished in sixth with 46 points. In the 250 Standard class, Bradley Meek (27) secured first place with a perfect score of 75 points, winning all three races. In the 250 Modified class, highflyer Adam Gibson (4) scored a perfect 75 points, winning each race. Luke Waddington (88) finished second with 66 points, and Kayla George (26) ended in third with 20 points. In the 250 Open category, once again Brodie North (131) dominated a new track with a perfect score of 75 points, winning all three races. Jay Sams (177) finished in second place with 64 points, while William Kirwin (16) followed in third with 62 points. Amelia Talent secured fourth place with 54 points. Finally, in the fan-favourite Youth Sidecar category, the duo of Louis Murch and Freddie Keane (Team 110) achieved a perfect score of 75 points, winning all their races.

In the Clubman class, Frank Marston (4) once more secured first place with 66 points, finishing strong with two wins. Jake Best (10) took second place with 65 points, highlighted by a first-place finish in the opening race, narrowly missing out on the top spot to Marston. Ethan Best (19) finished third with 58 points, maintaining solid performances throughout the day. James Maybury (16) exhibited excellent riding, placing fourth, only 4 points behind Best. Rounding out the top 5 was Nicole Lowry (18) who claimed 46 points. In the Senior class, Ed Davies (16) excelled with a flawless score of 75 points, winning all three races. Bob Bell (89) followed in second place with 66 points, consistently earning 22 points in each race. Martin Sayer (57) and Matthew Alberti (36) both finished with 54 points, placing third and fourth respectively, while David Shields (30) finished the top five with 51 points, securing 15, 18, and 18 points in each race.

In the Championship class, Dafydd Davies (15) victoried with a total of 72 points, winning the first two races and placing second in the final race. Oliver Sansom (1) secured second place with 57 points, thanks to consistent top finishes. Chad Beevers (538) came in third with 55 points, highlighted by a win in the final race. Jack Naylor (74) finished fourth with 51 points, and Robbie Wood (6) rounded out the top five with 50 points, maintaining solid performances throughout the day. In the Expert Championship class, Louie Holt (30) matched Davies' performance with 72 points, securing victories in the first two races and finishing second in the last race. Dwayne Barnes (7) finished second with 62 points, consistently placing in the top three. Dean Young (151) took third place with 56 points, winning the final race. Lewis Humphries (23) finished fourth with 54 points, and Bradley Johnson (222) came in fifth with 53 points, an abundance of excellent riding from a great deal of incredible riders.

In the Sidecar's Expert class, Stuart Brown and Lewis Grey (Team 888) dominated the competition with a perfect score of 75 points, winning all three races. Team 9 (Jack Rogers and Ryan Beavis) followed in second place with 62 points, achieving consistent podium finishes. Jonathan Wilson and Andrew Rowan (Team 112) secured third place with 60 points, maintaining strong performances across all races. Team 74  (Grant Young and Nik Young) finished fourth with 45 points, highlighted by an 18-point finish in the final race. Concluding with Leslie McCarthy and Louise Wilson (Team 123) completing the top five with 44 points, showing amazing riding throughout the day.

 

Sunday the 19th of May

Results in the youth classes stayed consistent into Sunday, due to the impeccable upkeep of the track. In the 50cc Modified category, Alfie Chew took (19) third place with 72 points, winning the first two races and finishing second in the final race. Macy Edgar (7) finished second with 69 points, showcasing strong determination and winning the final race. In the 100cc Standard class, William Pinder (83) achieved a flawless victory with 75 points, winning all three races. The level of performance from these two riders was incredible to watch throughout the whole weekend. Two very young riders with immense potential, that we look froward to seeing in the future. Ryan Thornborow (71) finished third with 65 points, highlighted by a win in the second race and consistent top finishes. Ethan Best (19) secured third place with 56 points, maintaining solid performances in all three races. James Maybury completed the top five with 47 points, showing consistent results across the weekend, and great competition to other riders in the class.  In the Senior class, Steven Pinder (131) emerged as the top rider with 70 points, securing first place with wins in the first two races and a second-place finish in the final race. Grey Fisher (47) followed closely in second with 67 points, highlighted by a victory in the final race. Bob Bell (89) took third place with 64 points, consistently placing in the top three in all races. Martin Sayer (57) finished fourth with 54 points, maintaining steady performances across all races. David Shields finished fifth with 47 points, earning solid finishes in each race.

In the Championship class, Chad Beevers (538) dominated the Sunday and achieved a perfect score of 75 points, winning all three races. Dafydd Davies (15) followed closely in second place with 66 points, consistently securing second place in each race. Robbie Wood (6) climbed the rankings and finished third with 52 points, maintaining strong performances with 20, 16, and 16 points. Richard Tordoff (82) took fourth place with 47 points, highlighted by an 18-point finish in the second race. Oliver Sansom (1) and Ayrton Knowles (126) both finished with 46 points, with Sansom securing fifth place and Knowles in eleventh, showcasing consistent competitiveness throughout the weekend. In the Expert Championship class, Dean Young (151) also achieved a perfect score of 75 points, winning all three races. Dwayne Barnes (7) finished second with 62 points, consistently placing in the top three. Louie Holt (30) secured third place with 58 points, highlighted by a second-place finish in the first race. Bradley Johnson (222) came in fourth with 56 points, maintaining strong results with 16, 20, and 20 points. Lewis Humphries rounded out the top 5 with 52 points, demonstrating consistent performances in all races.

As we progress through the season, we eagerly anticipate returning to familiar tracks, particularly Duns on the 22nd and 23rd of June, where the Connor Smith Memorial will take place. This event not only honours Connor with an exceptional weekend of riding but also features the excitement of hosting the British Quad and British Sidecar Championship events once again. We look forward to seeing you all there for top-class riding in memory of Connor.
