There’s going to be a Bring and Buy cake stall at Dean Moor next weekend and funds raised will be donated to the Great North Air Ambulance Service. The fundraiser is the idea of NETT’s former Entries Secretary Dot Nixon, who was behind NETT’s cake sale charity fundraisers in previous years.
If you would like to donate a cake or traybake, please drop it off with Dot at the sign-on area anytime during Saturday 17th July. The sale will take place towards the end of Saturday’s racing and will remain open for some time to allow riders and their families to stick to the current 30 max outdoor gathering rules.
Dot’s already on with baking scones, banana cake, rocky road, gingerbread and lemon drizzle cake, some of which will be gluten free and several other club members have already pledged to bake too. If you fancy donating your favourite cake, we’d be delighted – the more the merrier. And please just message Dot if you have any questions.
The GNAAS, which provides a reassuring back up service when we race at Dean Moor, is funded entirely by charitable donations. Last time we had a fundraiser, we raised £500 – so whether you’re a baker or a buyer, please help us raise the same again, if not more!
